#TheStruggleIsReal is a set of three books targeted to young women in their early to mid-twenties. Inspired in the books: Never Have I Ever, Adulting, and Don’t Worry, It Gets Worse which are all non-fiction memoirs with a humoristic turn written by women who have blogging and social media backgrounds which are included in their books. 

 

 The concept behind #TheStruggleIsReal was inspired by Millennials and their online culture. Each cover represents a view to the author’s personal blog taking quotes from the book and pictures that do not only relate to the memoir but also resemble photographic styles used in social media sites such as Tumblr, Instagram, and Pinterest. The colour scheme chosen was taken from current fashion trends where the use of bright pastels is widely common. Details such as icons were included to resemble icons used in social media sites and apps. The outer box resembles a computer screen with opened web browser windows where one is able to see part of the covers and complete the idea of the technological generation.
